Brighton Cromwell’s core competency is in supply chain management and kitting. These disciplines incorporate production planning, demand planning, forecasting, consumption analysis, logistics and transportation management, warehouse management, and flow control in most requirements. As the largest provider of maintenance kits and kitting services to DLA Land & Maritime, Brighton Cromwell has the experience to effectively manage and grow kitting programs with as demanding a customer as any in the industry. With over 400,000 kits assembled and delivered since 2011, Brighton Cromwell has a proven track record of performance. Brighton Cromwell was an early proponent of the cost and efficiency benefits that kitting provides the DoD and its’ agencies.
Kitting is ideal for repair line support for vehicle maintenance, on-demand repairs, upgrades, overhauls, resets and other fleet modifications. Customized kits combining all the tools, parts and supplies necessary for each step of a repair line drastically minimize customer procurement touch labor and reduce potential repair-line interruptions. The effective use of kitting reduced vehicle downtime and increased operational readiness.
By ordering and receiving a kit the customer avoids interruptions in the supply chain, enables single part/single order processing for a customer versus dozens of independent requirements, and reduced both hard and soft costs. The ability of Brighton Cromwell’s proprietary SEDNASearch to “host” kits comprised of hundreds of parts from dozens of suppliers as one customer facing part creates operational efficiencies and simplifies the requisitioning process.
Brighton Cromwell received its first kit contract in 2004. Today, the company is the largest supplier of kits to the Defense Logistics Agency Land attachment, and provides customized and routine kits for a variety of platforms for DoD (Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force and DLA), OEMs/Prime Contractors and Foreign Military customers. Brighton Cromwell has produced and delivered over 400,000 kits since 2013.
Minimizes time spent pulling parts from inventory or searching for the proper tools. Kits are built and ordered to provide parts when they are needed so items will not be sitting on your shelf waiting for the rest of the parts to arrive.
Reduction of Stock
Get only the parts you need when you need them.
Reduce Item Management
The only SKU you need to manage is the kit itself. You order one part number, which means only one PO, one set of shipping documents, etc.
Assembly/repair lines are not tied to inventory locations. Kits are delivered where the work is being done.
You will have the required components and tools to the assembly or repair depot in an organized manner and ensure that you have the efficiencies required for LEAN processes.
