When Covid-19 hit Brighton Cromwell (BC), a Randolph, NJ-based military supply chain integrator knew that they had to keep their warehouse and distribution services going to remain mission-ready and fully functional. They also knew that if they could not keep their 30+ essential warehouse employees safe, that could never happen. So, the Brighton Cromwell team immediately started to design a face shield for their essential workers. Almost miraculously, they got a medical quality face shield into their rapid production process and took only three weeks to get it from concept to the first shipment!
What they did not expect was the outpouring of need that came out of their own essential workers’ personal friends, family, and networks. The essential factory employees that got the first batch of face shields were so impressed and pleased that they asked the owners of BC to make them for others that they knew were in desperate need of PPE.
So, responding immediately, BC was able to assist the following organizations that are fighting COVID-19 by providing them with these state-of-the-art medical grade face shields in the last few weeks:
- Critical Care Unit, Saint Clare’s Hospital in Dover NJ
- Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, NJ
- EMT units in Orange, NJ
- EMT units in Harrison, NJ
- EMT units in Passaic, NJ
- Richmond University Hospital in Staten Island, NY
- Community Hospitals in Community South, Indiana
All of these frontline workers have been thrilled to receive these donated medical quality face shields. This early success from the first round of shipments has led BC to want to continue producing more face shields for the community’s use.
